A Message to Our Clients and Business Partners

The powerful line of thunderstorms that swept across New Jersey Friday evening left a significant impact throughout much of the state, bringing damaging winds, downed trees, power outages, and challenging conditions during an already dangerous stretch of summer heat.

Communities throughout Monmouth, Ocean, Morris, Middlesex, Essex, Union, and surrounding counties experienced widespread outages as utility crews began the enormous task of restoring service.

According to utility officials, the storms affected nearly the entire service territory, with high winds causing extensive damage to trees, utility lines, and power poles. Thousands of utility workers, line crews, forestry specialists, and mutual aid teams continue working around the clock to safely restore electricity to affected homes and businesses.

Several Monmouth County communities—including Freehold Township, Holmdel, Howell, Manalapan, Marlboro, and Middletown—were among the hardest hit. Many residents throughout Ocean County and neighboring communities also experienced power interruptions and storm-related damage.

At Counsellors Title Agency, we recognize that severe weather affects more than daily routines. It can disrupt real estate transactions, delay inspections, postpone closings, and create unexpected challenges for buyers, sellers, attorneys, lenders, and real estate professionals.

Our team remains committed to working closely with all parties involved in a transaction to minimize disruptions whenever possible. We encourage clients and business partners to stay in communication with their real estate professionals and closing teams if weather-related issues affect scheduled appointments or property access.

Most importantly, we encourage everyone to place safety first. If you encounter downed power lines, damaged trees, flooded roadways, or unsafe property conditions, please follow the guidance of local emergency officials and utility companies. Never approach downed electrical wires, and allow trained utility personnel to complete restoration work safely.

We also want to express our appreciation to the thousands of utility workers, first responders, public works employees, and emergency personnel who are working long hours under difficult conditions to restore power and help our communities recover.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by the storm, especially those who continue to experience power outages.

From all of us at Counsellors Title Agency, we wish our clients, business partners, and neighbors a safe recovery. As always, we remain committed to helping your real estate transactions move forward as smoothly as possible while supporting the communities we are proud to serve throughout New Jersey.
