Here are Zoom webinar video streaming tips to help you take your Zoom game to the next level.
1. Dress for the Dance: Casual isn’t cool, it’s lazy. Dress right so that it reflects the importance of what you have to say to others. If you don’t look sharper than they are on the call, you are already fighting for their attention.
Make sure your colors match. Clean-shaven. Hair done. Lights, camera, action. A little color does help. If black is your style, make sure that there is contrast and light. Too much jewelry can be scary. Practice your on-camera smile.
2. Shoot Every Day: Go on Zoom every day. Record yourself. Practice by sending a video to your husband or wife. You can even practice with you ‘former-carpool’ by shooting an NFL weekend wrap-up. Take plenty of on-camera takes. DEFINITELY take a take before you go on camera.
3. Facial Touch-up: When it comes to facial appearance, two areas that are simple fixes – the eyebrows and the facial skin. If your eyebrows are sparse when it comes to eyebrow hair, get a little eyebrow pencil in there. Just a little to fill it in. And if your skin is shiny, use a little facial powder to soften the reflection of light on your face. Ladies: use blush and lipstick to define
4. Your Home Studio: The best place to set up your home studio is in your home office. Make it clean, orderly and with lots of light, preferably natural light. You face the light when shooting, and your background should have just a few items in sight. Some people think that having a bookcase behind you communicates intelligence and knowledge. Today, since most of the reading that we do is on screen, it only makes us look dated. A few pictures, awards, logo. And of course, it needs to be free of outside noise.
