A new executive order was issued by New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, reducing the closures dictates originally issued back in mid-March.

This announcement allows for indoor gathering of 25% of the building capacity or 50 people total.The limit on outdoor gatherings is also being raised from 25 to 100 people,except for political activities and religious services. Governor Phil Murphy also requested that face masks be used, as well as, the 6-foot social distancing protocol to be enforced when possible.
New Jersey businesses are opening now throughout the state, and the governor is lifting the stay-at-home requirement. The limit of 50 people for religious gatherings may pose a potential problem for the governor, considering that this is not required for other businesses.
The new protocols raise the limits on outdoor gathering from 25 people to 100 people, except in the case of political meetings and any kind of religious service. The governor said that he expects to increase limits on the outdoor gatherings to 250 people on June 22nd, and then to 500 people by July 3rd.
New Jersey’s new hospitalizations have declined by 44%, and there has been a 37% decline in patients in the hospital since May 25th. New Jersey still ranks third in the nation among states for the number of deaths from the Wuhan virus.
At the present, a total of 12,200 people have died from the Wuhan flu in the state of New Jersey. The governor is also permitting pools to reopen on June22nd. This includes all outdoor recreational and entertainment businesses previously closed. The only exclusion is for amusement parks and waterparks and arcades.
