What does smarter look like?
Many agents believe that visibility is the greatest marketing advantage that anyone can achieve. But credibility is visibility with five stars. 

Reconnecting
Back up with your clients of the last year. Before you move forward with new relationships, make sure that you assure those clients you worked with in the past that you are there if they need anything. You might even inform them as to what you and your office are doing during this particular coronavirus outbreak. Be genuine and be authentic. You might even shoot out a follow-up email with relevant information as to resources within your community.

Information
Provide an informational printout from a reliable source identifying ways to protect those family members and friends who are considered at-risk to this coronavirus. If you have a well-done, well-edited document, print out copies and mail two or three copies of the document to your client base. Tell them they are free to pass it along to those who can use it. Remember it’s about being smart and relevant. That’s where credibility begins.

Email
Don’t forget about email. Texts may not be as effective as a personalized email. If you are reaching out to sellers who have taken their house off the market, provide to them some sensible ways that they might improve the property value.

Social Media
Another way you can raise your visibility and credibility is through intelligent and strategic social media postings. Take full advantage of NextDoor and/or Facebook Groups to connect with or assist those in your neighborhood.

The elderly may be especially cautious about going out to buy food or to pick up their prescriptions from the pharmacy. Make sure you can provide what they need during this time.

Media
Everyone, it seems, is doing video showings of homes. But also video is a great way to inform constituents and prospects about restaurants and stores that provide takeout dinners. You can even do a movie review on those movies that will be featured on cable for the weekend.

Resist the temptation to become self-promotional, but rather make every effort to present yourself as a servant leader within your community. As the old adage says, people don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.

This is the time that we should all be intentional about putting our best foot forward.
