Fill in the blank. Now Amazon is working with other partners to make it possible to even pay rent through its Alexa AI technology.

This new partner, Zego, links smart home devices within an apartment and then connects it to the building’s management and maintenance. It also serves as a marketplace for local services.

Between the marketplace services and the rent payment, which involves Zego and S2, Amazon is looking to integrate up to 30,000 of its apartments over the next three years.

So now Amazon is looking to make life as simple as a voice command through its Alexa and Echo technologies, to play music, make phone calls, ask for information, set alarms, ask questions, and much more.

Zego is operational in more than 16,000 units and in 80 multi-family communities nationwide. The baseline has been established, and the platform has been tested in beta form, making it ready for domestic usage throughout the entire United States.

The partnership with Amazon gives the Zego technology a mission-critical validation within their market and ultimately the credentials to collaborate with other providers.

This is clearly proof-positive that smart home technology is not just an idea but actually a reality that is available for all homeowners and renters.

What makes this even more attractive is the Millennial generation is one that grew up with the internet. For them the internet is simply an extension of what has already existed their entire lives. There is no transition issue for Millennials; they are ready, willing and able to adapt and adopt this technology.
