A number of recent indexes confirm that confidence levels in future economic prospects remains very
strong. The Survey of Consumers conducted by the University of Michigan for July indicates that despite the fact that this figure is 10.1 index points below its January 2017 peak, consumers have more confidence than any time in more than a decade. The Survey of Consumers conducted by the University of Michigan came in at 93.1 for July.
The July report is down 2.1% from 95.1 reported in June and up 3.4% from this time in 2016.
